Currencies

Create an Invoice in USD or Another Currency

Choose USD, EUR, GBP, CZK or PLN and create a PDF whose items and totals use one selected currency.

When a client agrees to pay in USD, EUR, GBP, CZK or PLN, use that same currency consistently for every price and total on the invoice.

Confirm the contract currency before entering line items. Mixing a home-currency estimate with foreign-currency invoice totals is an easy way to send the wrong amount.

Each invoice uses one selected currency. Simple Invoicing does not fetch exchange rates, show a second accounting currency or convert the client’s payment.

Create an invoice in another currency

Create a single-currency invoice

  1. 1

    Confirm the billing currency

Check the signed agreement, approved estimate or purchase order for the currency used to price and settle the work.

  2. 2

Select USD, EUR, GBP, CZK or PLN

Choose the currency in the invoice form before entering prices. The selection applies to unit prices, totals and the amount due.

  3. 3

Enter every item in that currency

Use the agreed foreign-currency rates rather than mixing amounts copied from different price lists. Review quantities and notes as usual.

  4. 4

Verify payment details and the PDF

Make sure the client can identify the requested currency and has suitable payment instructions. Review the symbol and totals before download.

Example: a US consultant invoices a UK client in GBP

The engagement letter prices a workshop at £1,200 and follow-up work at £150 per hour. After two approved hours, the consultant selects GBP and enters both lines in pounds. The PDF total is £1,500.

  • Workshop: 1 × £1,200.
  • Follow-up: 2 hours × £150 = £300.
  • Invoice total: £1,500 in one currency.

One invoice has one currency

The currency selection keeps all line items and totals understandable. It does not create parallel USD and foreign-currency totals on the same document.

If your accounting records require a home-currency value, record the exchange rate and conversion in the system responsible for those records.

Currency is separate from tax treatment

Choosing EUR instead of USD does not decide sales tax, VAT, withholding, place of supply or reporting obligations. Those depend on the parties and transaction.

Use the form to produce the agreed PDF amount only after the cross-border tax and payment terms have been checked independently.

No exchange rates or payment conversion

The application does not retrieve market rates, calculate gains or losses, convert tax values, receive funds or guarantee that a bank supports the currency.

It displays the amounts you enter in the one currency selected for the invoice.
